THE  WESLEY  CHAPEL

January 14, 2006,

After the Wheatland United Methodist Men's meeting today, Fred Harrington kindly took several Church members to the site of the Wesley Chapel.  Mr. Harrington verified the location of the Wesley Chapel.  The location is in the far back of the Bankston Dodge Pre-Owned Vehicles used car lot.  This is very close to the Marvin D. Love Freeway access road and St. George Drive.  The are several large pecan trees that mark the location.  The trees are located at 32° 39.609 N and 96° 52.214 W.  The pictures below were taken on December 30, 2005 (click to enlarge):

I would like to see a historical marker put at this location documenting the Wesley Chapel and linking it to the Wheatland United Methodist Church and the Wheatland Cemetery
